In 1996, she became the local origination station manager for Time Warner Cable, where she oversaw the operation of Time Warner's production department and access channels 47 and 77.

In 2002, Tammy joined Hillsborough Television as a producer-director and produced shows such as Weekly Review, Informes Latino, Sheriff's Office Spotlight, and Inside Hillsborough County. She was promoted to Station Manager in April 2005.

Tammy and her husband Arturo live in Northdale with their daughters, Veronica and Julia. She also is Vice-President of SERVE, a non-profit organization that recruits volunteers from the community to serve in Hillsborough County public schools.
