Tammy Peralta has worked in television production for more than 19 years,
beginning her career in the cable industry in 1989. She was part of the
first "radio with pictures" in the country when she produced and
directed the QZOO Tube, a joint effort between Jones Intercable and WRBQ-105
radio station.
Tammy produced and directed Hillsborough County High School
sporting events, Tampa Bay Rowdies soccer games, Post Time from Derby
Lane, and hundreds of
local advertisements for bay area businesses.
In 1996, she became the
local origination station manager for Time Warner Cable, where she
oversaw the operation of Time Warner's production department
and access channels 47 and 77.
In 2002, Tammy joined Hillsborough Television
as a producer-director and produced shows such as Weekly Review, Informes
Latino, Sheriff's
Office Spotlight,
and Inside Hillsborough County. She was promoted to Station Manager
in April 2005.
Tammy and her husband Arturo live in Northdale with
their daughters, Veronica and Julia. She also is Vice-President of
SERVE, a non-profit
organization that recruits volunteers from the community to serve
in Hillsborough County
public schools.
